I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure why sat 119 is acting up? I live in Washington state and my whole office is reporting low signals at time of peaking. We can't get any better signal than 57 - 59. Also my Birdog Ultra is no longer recongizing 119, only 110 and 129. Thanks

Oh he'll yeah those are low! 110 and 119 should be in the 60's and 129 atleast above 55.

Yeah, the dish n it up paper is the 24 month contract. The only way out is to pay the cancelation fee of every month you did not honor.

Yeah, I'm not sure but you can try. Connect the cable to the antenna port, go to menu > system setup > then find the Local Channels and select it. In there you can "scan" for channels and see if it picks up the cable channel. I'm curious if this works, so please post your results.

As long as you didn't sign a two year agreement then your good. If Dish tries to hold you to a two year commitment tell them you want to see the commitmet you signed. If they don't you can take them to court if they still want to charge you. I'm sure if you mention that your going to take them...

I agree. I think the HDMI cable was created to combine HD video and HQ sound into one cable.

If you look behind your dish, sat 119 is what the dis is pointing to and 110 is 9 deg to the left. Any branches or leaves in that LOS window will mess with your signal.

How much is the tree branches in the way? You'd be surprised how easily tree branches and interfere with your signal.

Hey try going to the menu on your receiver and then press 6-1-1. This will take you to the point dish screen. Select satelitte 129 and set the transponder to 21. The signal strenth should be above 50. What does yours say???

I agree! I do admit there are SUCKY situations and there are many but it's just you out there. Sometimes we drive long distances too. Like 3-4 hours out and 3-4 hours back! Take your lunch when you feel like it. And if you are technical, you'll catch on fast. It's really not that hard if you pay...

@pepper - Not exclusively with dish but with a sub con comp at StarWest Satellite. Yeah here in Washington the HD Locals/HD Channels come out of the 129 sat. Your best bet is to find a way to move the wing 61.5 to a clear LOS to the 129.

If you have a clear line of sight and you're picking up 119, the skew is at 90 (putting a level across the arm of the dish will tell you if its at 90 deg) and your check switch is saying that there is a switch problem, you may have a bad LNBF. How long have you had the dish/LNBF for?

Your best bet is to get a 500 dish on a tri-pod. Those satellite dishes on RV's usually doesn't work with Dish Network. I've heard they work with DirecTV because some receivers only need the one LNBF. I've serviced alot of peoples RV's and they had a tri-pod which is the less frustrating route...

What you could do is re-point your 61.5 dish to 129. The 61.5 is no longer the HD satellite since now HD is going through 129. At our office we've been going to houses and re-pointing the 61.5 to 129.

Sorry, i miss read that you had 129 before... What happened that you lost 129? Did it just stop one day?
