    I'd like to see them add a feature from the D* HR20 playbook: if you have overlapping timers on the same channel (due to padding), record the overlap on BOTH timers (so you briefly have two timers recording the same thing off of the same tuner; so you could theoretically have 4 timers recording...

    622 "pause bar" burn in

    This works on the 942... ...so maybe it will work on the 622. After hitting pause, hit the skip forward button one time. The bar goes away, and after 10 seconds or so the Skip icon goes away too. I do this all the time to read the vanity card at the end of "Two and a Half Men."
