I just got a qs1080 from ebay and the unit is flashing "init" on the LED with a small little red LED flashing on the bottom Any ideas ?

Does anyone know why the front page of lyngsat with all the NA birds shows updates to the 3C bird, but you can not ever find what the change was when you click into the detailed TP page ? NOTE: all other birds on lyngsat seem to be fine...

Big question... can a previously subbed starchoice receiver get "other" DCII free to air channels ? or only these ones ? and... would a 4DTV receiver like a 922 get them ? I think so - right ?

I didnt know that DN did turbo - until i read more... it all comes together finally ;) CS8100 is DVB-S2 8PSK out of the box, which will get most of the current FTA channels out there (not sure about feeds)... and DN - which has a few FTA channels, uses turbo 8PSK which the CS8100 will NOT get...

I do not see how the CS8100 does 8PSK... it does look like it does the DVB-S2 MPEG4 , but only using QPSK ? is this right ? also - some articles are reading (e.g. TS in france experiment with 8PSK in 2003)... that there is a thing called turbo 8psk ? is that just a fancy name for 8psk ? or do...

Excellent news... looks like its worth to have some fun with the 36 incher and see what C band I get... my goal is to reduce the amount of motor movements I need... and using small fixed dishes takes up much less room than a bunch of 6 and 8 footers... have to see what comes in strong enough...
