Well, picked up a DVR unit today at BestBuy. it's been raining all day here in N. Texas, and have not had 1 drop-out or pixelation on the Orby signal at all. Dish would go out if any heavy storms came through..

I ordered the self install and reciever off the website, apparently they threw in the signal meter.. I had forgot to order it. Going to set it up this week. Plans are to cut the cord to Charlie next month, after 25 years.. Ordered on Tuesday, got the Dish Friday and the receiver yesterday...

So the settings are right, and I"m just being heavy handed you think? Didn't have any problem finding G18 with the P*... and that Hughes LNB weighs as much as the entire dish..

Hmm. Couldn't get any signal off the Hughes LNB/dish.. Had settings at: Single, LNB Power ON, 10750, No 220khz.. I got frustrated and put up my P* in the cold rain, got it lined up on G18 in no time. The P* are really some of the best antenna systems I've seen. The manual elevation...

I've been doing the same thing wth my Hughesnet. Haven't been able to get a blip on it, but can find G18 freehand with my P*.. Since you went through the pain with the DirecPC LNB, and suggestions? My Hughesnet Dish/LNB are only about 3 years old. Have the TX removed..

Hughes net Anole, thanks for the hints.. I hit 11805 H (from Ice's strong list) on the P*, so with power applied, and that freq, I should be golden on the Hughes.. Thanks for the reply.

I'd like to get try my hand at a KU bird, but don't have anything gear for signal location other than my coolsat 6000. I bought it to site in AMC4-C for the noaaport feed, which worked well.
