    Type of dish this is?

I found this dish on my way home, and wondered what brand/type it is.. It has a massive 4 point pad mount, and seems to be very well made. The 6 foot mesh behind it isn't available.. It measures 9'4" on the shortest points (directly across with tape) and nearly 12' tip to tip. Looking...

    Help with Primestar Dish

Hmm. Couldn't get any signal off the Hughes LNB/dish.. Had settings at: Single, LNB Power ON, 10750, No 220khz.. I got frustrated and put up my P* in the cold rain, got it lined up on G18 in no time. The P* are really some of the best antenna systems I've seen. The manual elevation...

It's mesh.. Saw it in someones back yard on my commute home from work, stopped, and said I could have it.. I've got a Noaaport data feed on it, with the DMS421. It's got quite a few hail dents, (north texas). But it's working great.

    Hughesnet/Direcway Dish

I've got a Hughesnet, and have been told in the forums here, that I can use the Hughesnet LNB. It show 11.750 - 12. ghz on the lnb. I've removed the radio module, and tube that connects to the LNB. Anything else I need to use this for FTA? There's an opening now through the LNB where the...

Hughesnet Dish - can it be used for C/Ku?

Iceberg, Does the LNB have a builtin switch? I'm supposing it does given that Hughes uses both H & V? I'm looking at putting another P* onine with it, and I have an external 4 way. I had planned to use two ports on the P* H & V ports. Savoy9020

Hughesnet Dish - can it be used for C/Ku?

From what I can dig up, it does appear that the Hughesnet LNB is linear and not circular, so could it be used as-is for FTA Ku reception? Savoy9020

Hughesnet Dish - can it be used for C/Ku?

I've got a Hughes.net system that was in service as late as February, but not longer needed. It's large and has a HN7000 modem. Could I replace the LNB with a Ku or C band and get any use out of it here in the North Texas area? I've got a coolsat 6000 that I'm using with my 10' Channel...

how to configure a BSC 421 on a 10' Channel master

I'm a newbie to C-band. Have acquired a used 10' Channel master, and purchased a new BSC 421 (from recommendations here). I've calculated the focal depth at .40 for my location, but the 421 has an, I believe an azimuth adjustment 30-0-30.. How do I calculate this? I'm going to be at a...

Adventures in dish hunting and what we find

I had thought about doing that. Maybe using a ball-pene hammer and something heavy to backup to the dents. There's a lot of them, and I'm sure that can't help signal quality. Thanks

Adventures in dish hunting and what we find

Picked up a Channel Master 10' this week. It's got a fair amount of hail damage, but no punctures or tears. What's the best way to repair the fabric? Can you find the mesh panels for this old Channel Master somewhere?
