Sprint Resumes Preliminary Talks on T-Mobile Merger
(Link Above from Bloomberg on new T-Mobile Talks)
Sprint is desperate to find a buyer before they need to file bankruptcy
They're all waiting for Sprint to file Chapter 7 and then pick them apart. Sprint just extended their free unlimited everything, minus fees/taxes until the end of September. This was suppose to end June 28th. How much can a company give away free? Some on Wall Street believe they're done...
Just as an FYI, Tribune announced WGN TV9 was dropping their CW Affiliation back in early May. That decision was due to them no longer wanting to sub-contract conflicting Cubs, Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks games to WCIU and/or WPWR. in Chicago.
DirecTV has had some pretty lengthy carriage disputes over the last decade too. TWC, Tribune Media/Broadcasting, Versus (NBCSN), and others. Nobody safe.
Btw, the DTV/Tribune agreement will expire soon.
The DISH Receivers are far superior to those at DirecTV. In addition, DISH was the first to have College Football covered with PAC12 Network, BTN, SEC & Longhorn at the time. DirecTV still does not have PAC12 Network.
Tampa8, I don't agree with the Tribune and their business practices under the ownership of Sam Zell. Thank god they sold the Cubs to Ricketts.
The main thing is we know the difference between WGNA & WGN.
When people say WGN isn't worth the amount Tribune is asking for, many people believe they're referring to WGN TV9 Chicago, especially around Chicago. Many people forget there is a WGNA too or don't know.
I've seen the confusion in other forums and comments sections in articles. Many forums...
No actually, I received a refund/credit on MLB Extra Innings 1/2 Season Package ($60) off $120 Price and $35 off per month on monthly bill for year and Multi-Sport free for a year. I save more than a quarter.
A majority of the Sports on WGN TV9 in Chicago have been farmed out by WGN TV9 to WCIU 26 & WPWR 50 due to the WGN CW Network commitment which ends on September 1, 2016.
WPWR 50 will be the CW Network Affiliate on September 1, 2016.
WLS 7 (abc) in Chicago broadcasts about 25 games per year...
I'll agree to disagree. When a company loses a record number of Subs (281K Total btwn Dish/SlingTV in 2nd Quarter) then it's called being desperate to retain additional subs at any reasonable cost.
When I left after 7 plus years in 2012 in good standing as they called it, they offered me only...
I also believe DISH is getting very desperate too..........I called today to cancel as DTV is scheduled to be installed tomorrow and DISH cut my bill down by a 1/4 per month.
