i just got back from the 2nd hand store, Habitat for Humanity in Norwalk, across from Cerritos College. and i spotted a 4dtv receiver for $150. unfortunately, i didn't get a model # but it's a motorola receiver. anyone that's local to the area should check it out.

I know how you feel. im waiting for the upgrade as well. i went with the non-DVR boxes and i love it. I was dumping $150/mo for DirecTV. its pretty awesome.

i highly suggest if you decide to aim a laser into the sky, you dont want to aim it near an aircraft. here in LA, someone was recently arrested for hitting a laser at a plane. how they found the person, i'll never know.

all the Ku band satellites are coming in strong and when i get to 99 & 103, i get nothing but 0's. when I reset the box, the levels come back up. the box has been reset 3 times in the last 24 hrs. and i've reauthorized it twice. i guess my next option would be to try another output on the dish...

i know the title seems a bit far fetched but a couple of months ago, i was having problems with my DRD485RG, having to reset & reauth. it almost everyday. Finally that problem disappeared. now the problem im having is im having to reset my H21 everyday because my HD satellites are disappearing...

Has anyone been losing channels on their RCA DRD series receivers lately? I've had to reauthorize & reset one receiver in my house 3 times in the last 2 weeks, twice this past weekend. Is it time to bite the bullet & upgrade to a D12?

i only watched G4 for X-Play, AOTS, and the annual E3 coverage and every year i always pray for a HD upgrade. I feel really disappointed in D* right about now. I figured they were way above E* and willing to negotiate with their providers but now im really losing faith. i hope my contract's up...
