Galaxy 19 might have chanels on it

I am very grateful for the new G19.... I live in the USVI in the Caribbean and my signal qualities are ridiculously HIGH  On both "Safe TV" and "Doc Scott" which in the past traditionally had the lowest levels in the 30's - 40's  are now holding steady in the mid to upper 90's...

FWIW.....From the looks of the mount... i'd say it's a Prodelin brand dish. :)

    Adjusting LNBF Bracket

Hmmmmm..... quite a novel idea that rotary rasp..... I'll check it out later today! :upNow to figure out how to possibly stabilize my regular drill.....

    Adjusting LNBF Bracket

I have an AzureShine LNBF bracket that's factory designed for the smaller throat diameter LNBF's (such as DTV etc) as opposed to FTA 40mm opening. The bracket is actually designed in 2 halves that snap together around the LNBF throat. I've got a Dremel tool but I'm not quite comfortable doing it...

DVR-1100c Can Anyone Simplify Channel Search

Not sure about your scanning issues as I'm not in front of the unit right now but if you are referring to the FOX NEWS Channel don't worry you didn't "DO" anything wrong..... it's simply GONE! It's been replaced with the WEATHER CHANNEL now..... I noticed the change on ALL of my boxes (and I...

    Dish Flexing...

Hi, I was having some signal issues with a 1.2M Meter Azure shine dish. I decided to dismantle the hard ware and string test it from left to right lnbf arm mount holes and from bottom mount hole to the top. It passed the string test.... I flexed the dish as well. Flexing the antenna seems to...

Cannot format Maxtor to fat 32

FWIW..... I recently had to do this BUT I used my Maxtor 500GB external hard drive with my new DVR.... IF & IF by chance you WILL be using the hard drive with a DVR unit, check the menu options in the receiver to do the reformat for you.:)

    New DVR comments

Well Worth The Wait.... The new DVR 1100C is a really nice box... well worth the wait (@ least for me it is) :) Setup was a breeze. Absolutely LOVE USB record option unlike the DVR1000ci which was pretty much limited to the internal HD capacity. Recording is pretty straightforward on the fly &...

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

I finally added my 4th receiver to the mix this weekend.... a Geosat Pro DVR 1100C and it sure is one VERY NICE receiver. Can switch back and forth between AMC4 and G25 just fine on this unit and the 2 Merc's. Now I have absolutely NO signal on IA-5 on the Geosat Pro 1000... none whatsoever :(...

    Contest: Glorystar DVR1100c System - Ends 8.18.2008

STT/STJ SDA School I’d love to have a system go to a local school… the St. Thomas/St. John Seventh-day Adventist School here in St. Thomas. They would certainly benefit from the SDA content but what I am particularly interested in exposing them to is the Smile of a Child Network. In today’s...

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

Hi, I'm using the ones is this picture that used to be on the G* website listed under LNBF's... they are Standard Linear LNBFS. The L.O. is set to 10750, the POWER is now set to OFF on IA5, 0/22KHz is still set to AUTO  and Diseqc #2. As noted previously this has resulted in me getting...

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

Update After messing with the settings for IA5 in the LNB Configuration section, I opted to set the POWER to OFF and G25 is BACK ON!:):):) Of note is that Signal Strength: 62 and Quality averages at 30 on TBN  so of course some of the weaker channels like Safe TV pixelate and or just...

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

I'm home now and on my Geosat Pro 1000ci the 0/22KHz is set to AUTO for both AMC4 and IA5. I cannot change the setting... whenever I arrow down or up in the LNB Configuration section it bypasses the 0/22KHz line  Do I need a firmware update or a reset or something?

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

Ok..... currently the GeosatPro 1000 is set to: 0/22KHz - AUTO (for both AMC4 & IA5) Diseqc #1 (AMC4) Diseqc #2 (IA5) (This info is per my notes that I took with the settings).... however I do remember adjusting the settings and it didn't quite seem as if I was able to adjust the (0/22KHz -...

    Glorystar and 4x8 Multiswitch

Hi, I'm in the process of adding my 4th receiver to my G* system :D. Previously I had 2 Merc II (on the upper floor level) that were slaved one to the other via the loopthrough. (Worked "OK" if both receivers were on the same bird!) The feed came from 2 dual output LNBF's connected to a Diseqc...

    USB 2.0 Media Recommendations

"Good Brand" to me are the more reputable brands like Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor.... these guys are some the traditional hard-drive manufacturers so i tend to go with any of them.

    USB 2.0 Media Recommendations

I'd say depends on yer budget, but a USB External Hard-Drive with a 500GB capacity can be had nowadays for about $90. Get as much as you can afford (up to the 500GB max the unit suppports) and more gigs = more space for recordings. :)

    UPS Back-up Protection

Ok... I follow.... but is it even feasible to forgo the ground block route in favor of the UPS's F jacks providing the "ground protection" instead of the traditional ground block route. Case in Point... I have an install where the dish had to be mounted on the side of the building about two...
