8PSK signals and their strength vs. a bad reciever

Thanks everyone. Madmadworld. To answer your question: When i do a blind scan Tuner type is DVB-S (the letter are in BLUE) and its fixed. Meaning it wont allow me to change it on that screen (pressing the <l or l> does not change this value). I have been trying to manually enter the TP with the...

8PSK signals and their strength vs. a bad reciever

Thank you. My mistake. it is a 9200HD...stupid on my part...sorry. Is there anyway to tell by looking at this if its a true 8psk or a turbo 8psk card? That could be the issue. Also, is there anyway to tell if the card actually works? I would expect some sort of signal straight, but it...

8PSK signals and their strength vs. a bad reciever

I am having issues the 8psk on my pansat 9500HD? I have a 4dtv as my master and a 9200 HD pansat as a slave. On Galaxy 16 for example, I get signal strenghts up 88, but yet I am unable to pull in any 8psk at all. In fact, no signal shows up when i attempt to search for 8psk channels or if i...

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Thanks again FAT Air, but i thought that you said that the plate diminishes the linear signals? Did I mis understand something? The question wasnt how to get a stronger linerar and circular signal, it was related to getting a stronger domestic (linear) signal. And, though it is true about the...

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Thanks to everyone for their responses, links and suggestions. Since no one seems to know how to safely remove the dielectric plate from a chapparral co-rotor II+, It would appear that I am back to my original question. Does anyone have any experience with both the BSC 621 and the a plain...

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Yes. It does do both, but Fat AIR said that having the plate in causes signal lose. I would rather give up the the circular signals in favor or stronger linear signals. So, I am interested in how to remove it, or if its even possible or not with the co-rother II+

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Thanks magic static, but what about the thing on the end that looks similiar to a butter fly nut? That too is holding it in place. Also, you mention that yours was a bullseye so you had no moving parts. This has a rotor and I want to be cirtain before i force anything. I think that nut is...

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Thanks FAT AIR, but there is a problem. It seems that your response (and the diagram) were relating to a BSC 621. I currently do not own one of those. I was considering it, but you made me think. My current chapparral feed horn contains a dielectric plate (a chapparal co-rotor II +), but i dont...

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

Thanks Fat air. Thats my problem. 2 questions though. 1. How do i remove the plate 2. wont that prevent me from recieving domestic (US - canada) signals ? I would rather recieve those than the circular (non domestic ones) or do i misunderstand you?

Chapparal co-rotor dual c/ku vs. BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF

I was wonder if anyone out there has had experience with both a HTS Twin Tracker Feed Horn Made by CHAPARRAL(what i refer to as a plain co-rotor ). and a BSC621-2 Universal C/KU BAND SATELLITE FEED HORN LNBF? I wanted to know which one returns a stronger signal? I currently have a c/ku band...

    PANSAT 9200HD

I dont always have the luxury of playing around with this/working on it. I finallly had an opertunity to try a few of the suggestion presented to me (Thank you everyone very much..btw). I was finally able to get the receiver to work, but only after disconnecting the 8 PSK board all together...

    PANSAT 9200HD

thank you all again. I already tried eliminating all of possiblities, and and already know the dish is right on, becuae i did the 300a thing already... Anyway, can someone explain these jumpers? Are these the coaxal cables going from in/out on the back? If so, I had them on the first time...

Bullseye feed horn hook up w/ only 2 coaxial cables one c, one ku

bullseye feedhorn Both horizontal/veritical c-band lnbs appear to be working, but i just cant get them to work together. I rotate the horn and get all horizontal channels working great, then i rotate it a little, each time checking it, but when the vertical channels are working then the...

Bullseye feed horn hook up w/ only 2 coaxial cables one c, one ku

bullseye feed horn I had a chance to play around with it last night and i rotated it as discribed in previous post. It appears that both the horizonal and vertical c-band LNBS are workiing because i can get even and odd channels but not at same time. I rotated it as discribed and i was...

Bullseye feed horn hook up w/ only 2 coaxial cables one c, one ku

bullseye feed horn Thank you ACRadio. I have a very strong idea that i need to rotate the feed horn. I'm not there to look now. Also, is it possble to hook up the ku lnbs backwards, or will the screw possitions make that impossible, or does it even matter? I'm wondering if i did something...

Bullseye feed horn hook up w/ only 2 coaxial cables one c, one ku

I could be wrong, but i think i was mis understood. The dish is aligned just fine and has been for quite sometime. I simply replaced a co rotor II with a bullseye feed horn. To replace it, I did the following: 1) disconnected the coaxial cables and the power supply to the rotor 2) losened...

Bullseye feed horn hook up w/ only 2 coaxial cables one c, one ku

I finally got everything i needed for this feedhorn and installed in using the 4x4 multiswitch. The problem is i am now only picking up C-band signals and not all of them. I appears that only signals from the one c band lnb are getting through to the recievers. For example, i am picking up...
