The fact that it started misbehaving the first time I turned it on after a software update was my first clue. Then using 2 different DirecTV remotes with fresh batteries was my second clue. The fact that those same remotes work fine to control the TV are another clue. Now hearing from others...

I forgot to mention I have the problems with 2 different remotes with fresh batteries in each. That's why I know it is on the receiver end and not a problem with the remote itself. Two remotes don't go "bad" on the same day.

Just a suggestion. You can't change the channel groupings, but you can get rid of the crap shopping channels by using the favorites list. It takes a little work, but I only see the channels I want to see in the guide.

I just looked it up and KHNL does broadcast in HD. Are terrain or buildings problem? Otherwise just watch in on antenna. I know it may take a second or 2 to switch to another input on the TV, but isn't that better than watching a football game in SD?
