Will I be able to get NSS806 with a 120cm dish?

Has anyone had any experience with this device: http://avcomm.com.au/index.php/vmchk/Feedhorns/C-Band-Waveguide-Polarizer/flypage-sparkstore.tpl.html It seems to avoid the 3db loss of the dielectric. Yet, it seems noone in the US is offering it or anything similar.

Will I be able to get NSS806 with a 120cm dish?

the chart shows 40.5 dbmW EIRP. I did not realize the dielectric cuts signal by half (3db). That would imply 37.5 effective EIRP. Thanks for your reply.

Will I be able to get NSS806 with a 120cm dish?

Question: I have an 120cm dish that is no longer being used. What do you think are my chances (NYC area) of getting a decent signal from NSS806, 3630-L, DVB-S? I will be using a DMS BSC621 C/KU Band LNBF with dielectric plate and a WS-KU2C Conical Scalar Ring Kit with LNBF Holder. I thought I...

Need firmware for a Samsung SIR-T165

I got a HDTV off-the-air SIR-T165 unit off ebay, but for some channels it goes into a continuous reboot cycle, and I am suspecting this is because it needs the broadcast flag firmware update. I called Samsung, and they said the latest update should be V133, they want the unit sent in, but I...

Diseqc switch question and new diseqc standards

I just installed a Digiwave Diseqc 2.0 switch , and I am having problems. I am using it with a Samsung FTA receiver which supports Diseqc 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. I have 3 dishes attached. The switching function works ok. I can switch between the dishes. However, I am getting now what appear to...

    Problem with vp1022a

further investigation on 1022A problems A while ago I got a 1022A on ebay. Initially had it hooked up to a 95cm dish with a DMS universal LNB pointed to Telstar12 . The card worked very well for several days. Things went wrong when I tried to hook it up to a spare DBS dish with the...

C-band DVB with digital receiver only question

analog receivers and newer c-band LNBFs So, I ordered a C-band LNBF to use with my digital receiver. In the meantime I was thinking to get an analog receiver on Ebay. Which model works well with the newer LNBFs? After some reading, I understand that the analog receivers usually have a...

    T12: Signal at 98%, quality at 10%

To close this thread, I took a picture of the results of my targeting exercise. It took quite a while with a compass and clinometer to find a spot where an antenna can be mounted. The elevation is only 14.5 degrees, however, the fairly clean signal path gives over 80% quality. Image is attached.

C-band DVB with digital receiver only question

Thanks for all the info. I will try the manual trick before getting an LNBF, just for the fun of it. I have more plans for the dish, and will eventually make the investment for an actuator (the one that came with the dish is not working) and an analog receiver at some point.

C-band DVB with digital receiver only question

Hello, I finally acquired an older 10 foot dish with C-band LNB and feedhorn. I only need to pick AMC6, so no actuator control is necessary, and, to make things even simpler, I only need to pick the 4060H frequency. I have a digital DVB receiver (Samsung SFT702M PLus - not the best...

    T12: Signal at 98%, quality at 10%

thanks - it works now Thanks everyone for replying. It ended up beeing a tree problem. I moved the dish around to an opening between the trees. The signal now comes over the treeline in the distance and under some tall trees in my property (elevation is just 14.5 degrees). I was walking...

    T12: Signal at 98%, quality at 10%

Thanks for the replies. Cutting tree branches is not possible because they are far away and not in my property. I created a home-made inclinometer, and I have a good reason to believe that the path is basically clear. Besides I am getting quite a strong signal. It is the low quality that...

    T12: Signal at 98%, quality at 10%

I have a Hotdish95 pointed at T12 from zipcode 10514 (elevation 14.5, azimuth 112). I get very strong signal 98%, but minimal quality, and adjusting the dish does not help. LNB tilt is at -44 degrees, it is DMS Intl model ASC321-2 universal Ku. I think pointing is not the problem he...
