    Dish Loses Fight With SpaceX

I think this was expected but a 4-0 vote by the FCC seals it. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/05/fcc-saves-starlink-from-5g-interference-backing-spacex-in-fight-against-dish/

    New Dish Cell Phone

Read this article this morning. https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/dish-network-celero-5g-smartphone-hands-on-review/ My question is, will Dish use its new 5G network to create a Home Internet service (like Verizon and AT&T) for the specific purpose of streaming Sling or some other...

    Hopper + USB Hub

I have the Sling adapter plus a HDD plugged into the two USB ports on my Hopper. I'm going to add the OTA module when it becomes available. The question is will a USB hub work with the Hopper or will I need to sacrifice one of the other devices?

    922 System Wizard to Hopper

I'm upgrading to a Hopper from a 922 and wanted to know if I can transfer the saved timer and system settings from the 922 remote on to the Hopper? Thanks

    211 On Third LNB

Just ordered a single Hopper 2 Joey install and was wondering if I can use the unused third LNB on the same 1000.4 dish to feed a owned 211? If so I'll return one of the Joeys since I don't need the DVR function.

    2006 Apple Patent

This sure looks like Dish's current menu on the 922. (Fig. 21) Odd that it took 6 years for this patent to be granted. Notice the patent refers to cable only. http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2012/08/apple-wins-major-apple-tv-patent-relating-to-cable-tv.html

    Self Installing A 942

Oh great ones of the Satelliteguys forum... My 942 is on the way and I wanted to know if on the first software download from 119 can the single line to input one go through a DPP44 or does it need to come right off the LNB? I know it can't go through a separator. And, are there any...

5 Degrees of 500 for Vooming

Attempted to dial in an old Dish 500 to 61.5 using a single LNB mounted on the 110 side of the Y adaptor. I'm in the Portland, OR area so my look angle is only 12 degrees. I've had 61.5 dialed in before when all the HD channels where there, although I was using a Dish 300 then, so I knew...

    4 Legacy Receivers with a DPP44

I wanted to get a jump on my future purchase of a 942 and installed a DPP44 today to use with a 6000 receiver and three 2800 receivers. (I'll eventually replace two of the 2800's and move my 6000 to the bedroom.) I can get ports 1 thru 3 to work but none of the receivers see port 4...

    942 and DHA

I understand that under the DHA you pay $250 and then a monthly rental fee for the 942. But... when it's time to upgrade to a new box that will receive the Mpeg 4 feeds do we pay an additional $250 or do we just swap out for a new box?

Where did you get your 942?

I've been reading feed back from current owners of the 942 but am curious as to where they got their boxes. I'm looking to get a 942 but they seem to be in very short supply. Scott

Only Two Sat Feeds to a DPP44

I only need two sats, 110 and 119 feeding a DPP44 switch. (I'll be feeding a 921 a 6000 and two 2800s) Will the DPP44 work with only two Sat feeds and what inputs would I use from a DPP twin LMB? I know I'll need a DishPro Plus Separator for the 921 and the other receivers are fed straight...

    DishPro DP24 Switch???

All my channels are on 110 and 119 so a DP 34 switch is over kill. Is there a DishPro switch in the works for a 2 satellite 4 out or even 5, 6 or 8 out switch? (Instead of cascading.) Also, how about adding an input on the switch for OTA distribution that can be split out at the receiver. ;)

    921 Second OTA Receiver??

OK, it sounds like the 921 is delayed again. Just a wishful thought, but is there any chance that E*is working on a second OTA receiver for the 921 to compete with the upcoming HDTivo PVR from D*??? ;)

    Riddle me this Batman

Since my locals come off 119 spot beam and all other programing is on 110 and 119, except HD HBO on 148, at what point will I be able to remove the 148 dish and just use the Dish 500? And how would I feed 5 recievers (2 feeds for the 921) with one Dish 500?

    921 OTA Recording

Let me get this straight. I can either watch or record one OTA HD channel but not do both. But with the new Direct/Tivo HD unit I'll be able to do both. :?:

    SuperDish Legacy Hookup

If I only have one receiver being fed by a Superdish will I need an external switch? I currently have 4 legacy receivers one of which will be replaced by the 921 when it becomes available. My idea is to leave the other 3 on my switch64 until the receivers get replaced. That way I won't...
