    Explain a must carry

not necessarily down the road from glendive in ekalaka they get their abc from rapid city, sd. until recently the abc there (kota) had metv and thistv as subchannels. Mid rivers cable carried the metv but not thistv in the mid river markets that havent been upgraded to full digital they do not...

    Explain a must carry

i was referring to the fact you said that "Satellites do carry subchannels only if they are a full power and on the. 1" my point was that the reason directv carries it is because again its a .1, full power, and they reached an agreement

    Explain a must carry

that has already been established previously. i dont know why you need to repeat yourself not all subchannels are carried on cable cable will carry them but the owner of the station that has it on their subchannel has to reach an agreement. that is why you will see some subchannels not on...

    Explain a must carry

the .1 is considered the primary channel like in my market we have 2 stations KXGN 5.1 is the primary channel and carries CBS KXGN 5.2 is the subchannel and carries NBC subchannels are considered -2 and on. so a station that is just a .1 would be one with no subchannels.

    Explain a must carry

why so much hostility? i was just confirming why your metv affiliate is on directv. it is a .1 it is full powered station according to the fcc the owner of the station reached an agreement with the provider to carry it

    Explain a must carry

A .1 is not a subchannel. and since you claim that is full power then of course it would get must carry as long as they reach an agreement

    2016 MLB season

the mlb network games are hit and miss. it is just random as to which game you will get. in some cases they try to give you the game that is the same league as the market that you are in. i also got the white sox/blue jays game the other day. seattle claims montana so i just assumed it was due...

    Explain a must carry

its possible that the owner of the station that carries comet did not ask for carriage whereas the owner of the station that carries escape did
  10. Tank

    Explain a must carry

but the previous sentence i clearly stated a must carry means if it asks for carriage on a cable or satellite company the provider has to carry it as along as they reach an agreement on compensation guess you neglected to read that part before making your incorrect response

    Explain a must carry

andy_horton a must carry means if it asks for carriage on a cable or satellite company the provider has to carry it as along as they reach an agreement on compensation. all full powered .1 stations qualify for must carry regardless of programming. now there may be situatinos where a .1 is not...

Who here has a DVR for their antennas? What DVR do you have?

I have a AM21 set up on my Directv setup. We only have 2 channels in the area (KXGN 5-1 CBS and -2 NBC). I get distants from Los Angeles on my DIrectv account so the AM21 is used for the news and Griz games. Also if I really need to see something on CBS I can watch it earlier than other...

Is it possible to pay extra for distant networks and stay where you are without "moving"?

but with a RV don't you just fill out the form and submit it? That's different than if you don't have locals on Directv and you have to go through their qualification page. Here is what it shows for my area. We automatically qualify for FOX, ABC, CW, and PBS. You can try and get a waiver for NBC...

Is it possible to pay extra for distant networks and stay where you are without "moving"?

and in some cases you have to get a waiver My market isn't on Directv yet I had to get a waiver to get CBS from LA. I was grandfathered for NBC before KXGN added NBC as a subchannel. There are no other stations in the market.
