I've 2 HR24's that have also been bogging down of late. My HR21 is better than it used to be but still worse than the HR24's. My H24 is a champ and is always responsive and lightning quick. Wish the same were true for the others.

Because, quite frankly, there's not much demand for it. I watched a bit of it earlier and thought it detracted from the experience.

It is not that an ISP doesn't allow it, it is that they refuse to PAY for it. If net neutrality is the concern you are blaming the wrong party.

It happened to work out as I'm looking at a brand new HR-24 that came in the mail today as a replacement. I think DirecTV saying they can't control which equipment you receive is only lip service;)

No you shouldn't be charged for an MRV install. I've only heard of that for an upgrade to SWM. The hr34 installer will just toss a couple decca's on the pre-24 receivers. Not exactly heavy lifting...

Funny you say that, I just added another HDDVR today. To my surprise, aside from the $6/mo fee and contract extension it was absolutely free. This comes pretty close after my move in Aug when I got a new HDDVR and MRV included.
