I just downgraded from the $20 HD Pack to Dish Essentials and I no longer am getting my Locals in HD?? I still receive my Pittsburgh locals but not in HD. Are they not included in the new essentials pack?? Yes I "moved" to Pittsburgh a while ago.

Well if they do put the locals on 61.5 then they will be putting up a lot of dishes. Why put Cleveland HD locals on 61.5 when STO HD is on 129 and 129 only. Seems pretty stupid to me. Also if you "move" to Pittsburgh you will not get STO or FOX Ohio.

I called my cable company, Time Warner, and the guy told me the only way I could get an HD STB was to order the digital cable package. He said I couldn't order lifeline basic and request a STB. Is this accurate or is this guy just trying to up sell me??

My cable offers the fox station from Cleveland which is in HD. How would I know if they use QAM?? Also why would a station broadcast OTA in digital but not HD? What is required from them to do this? I've called the station but I always get someones voicemail who of course never replies.

I'm here in Ohio and my satellite is pointed to 61.5 too, they better mirror it on 61.5. I'm on hold right now with Dish....Tech support claims they are planning on mirroring it and if they do not he said they will send a tech out to point my dish 300 to 129.

For the record, I also get the quick blackouts on UNI HD, HD from 61.5.

HD locals are NOT available and probably won't be anytime soon. Thinking back I believe the original installer was having trouble getting the 129 satellite so he called and got permission from his manager to point it at the 61.5. Are all HD locals being put on the 129??
