    A question for installers

if E* started issuing cable and connectors, like the cable companies do, I would have no problem using flooded cable. Since we cant charge the customer for pole mounts, and we do alot down here, they are getting regular old cable.

    Super Dish Install Problem...

is the 508 you are using new out of the box? If so you will want to download the new software version before it will recognize the 121 signal. It will also say check connections if there is not enough signal, so you might need to peak the dish.

    Help! Super Dish needs re-pointing

why do you think it needs to be re-pointed? are you sure the problem is not the line of sight? I roll on service calls all of the time, where customers have fiddled with the dish , and the problem is a tree. If the dish wasn't loose when you went to check it, then it probably hasn' t moved.

New install: RG6/U or RG6/U Quad shielded? 110ft run

The local dnsc offices here in NC use flooded orange dual cable with messenger, I dont know anyone else here who does that for a free install. That cable from lowes is crap, have your installer use his cable and bury it yourself, E* expects us to do pole mounts and 50ft of burial for free here...

    Grounding a New Install?
