Adding Channels Via Cable, not OTA

Is it possible to add channels to the lineup on the 622 through a cable feed? It says something about it in the manual but doesn't explain how to do it. Since I subscribe to my local cable company as well as E*, can I plug my cable feed into my 622 and scan more channels into the system...

    HD Net NHL blackout?

What are HDNET's blackout rules? They are not the same as the RSN restrictions, because I was able to view the LA Kings game last night from Los Angeles on HDNET. Out of curiosity, I tried to switch over to the Center Ice broadcast of the same game and couldn't because it was blacked out...

    Center Ice Schedule?

Why does it take so long for E* to post the Center Ice schedule? The season starts today and they still have last seasons schedule posted on the website. I went to the D* website and they have the entire season posted! What's the deal?

Is anyone getting the free locals on a 921 or 622?

I'm can't figure out how to get these free preview sat locals. I just had my 622 installed with an OTA antenna. Now that I realize I won't be able to see the program info or use the DVR functions on the locals I am thinking about switching to sat locals for a fee. If there is a free...

    Adjusting Screen on 622

When I view my program guide on the 622 the bottom channel is almost totally cut off. I have tried to adjust my TV vertical settings but it only ends up cutting off the top of the screen. Is there a way to adjust this in the 622 menu? Any help is greatly appreciated.

OTA Local Program Info on the 622

That's disappointing. When I was with Voom, the program info came through on the antenna. Ah, the good ol' days.

OTA Local Program Info on the 622

I just got my 622 installed and am using an OTA antenna to receive my locals. I was wondering if there is a way to download the program info for the local channels for DVR purposes. Right now it lists them as "Digital Service." I would like to be able to program my DVR to record shows that...

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

It seems as though Star Choice does not offer NHL Center Ice. How can this be? Am I missing something?

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into Star Choice. As long as they offer a decent amount of HD hockey, it doesn't make a difference to me.

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

Is that $27 CAN or US? How much does bell charge for each of their packages? The website only lists the all-in-one stuff.

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

Do you receive TSN HD, Rogers Sports HD, and the NHL Center Ice HD channels? Essentially, those are the only channels I care about. Also, if I were to buy the expressvu receiver from kusat and use my Dish 500, is it possible to subscribe to a sports only package? Or, do you have to...

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

I don't know... After looking at Bell's footprint, it appears as though Los Angeles falls within the inner ring. But as for Star Choice's HDTV satellite, Los Angeles falls well out of the inner ring. However, in theory, I should be able to pull this off. The only thing that would stop me...

    Bell Expressvu in the U.S.

I have a beginners question. If I order Bell Expressvu under a Canadian address but install it in Los Angeles, will I be able to subscribe to their programming? For example: I order service from the Bell Expressvu website and have it delivered to a friends house in Canada who will then...

    Question about selling my receiver

I just sold my Dish receiver to someone on ebay. Do I need to disconnect it before anyone else can use it? If so, do I just call Dish and have them disconnect it? I know this is simple, but I just wanted to make sure before I hand it off. Thanks.

Does the 622 come with an HDMI cable?

Thanks, I figured they wouldn't give away such an expensive cable.

Does the 622 come with an HDMI cable?

I just upgraded my 811 and was wondering if I should go out and buy an HDMI cable. Anyone know what the 622 comes with? Thanks.

Dish HD ... as applied to NHL games

I currently have a dish pointed at 110. If I get 2 more dishes and point them at 61.5 and 129 will I be able to get all of the channels? It must be more complicated than that. I just want to get as many HD NHL channels as possible. Can someone explain how I would be able to get all the...

    OLN HD Question

I heard that OLN broadcasts some NHL games in HD on channel 95. What package must I subscribe to in order to receive this broadcast?

    New to D*

So, OLN will occasionally broadcast games in HD on channel 95. How do you get this through Directv? Will the HD package get me this?

    New to D*

So, you're saying that I won't be able to see any games on FSN? What's the point of offering these stations if you can't even view what they broadcast? It makes no sense because there is no competion in my market for these games except for NHL Center Ice, which is a subscription service...

    New to D*

I just switched from E* to D* because E* doesn't offer enough for an NHL enthusiast such as myself. I signed up for the Sports Pak because they offer a bunch of FSN channels from all over the country. A friend of mine said that when hockey season starts, the games will be blacked out because...

    voom.com...Alive!!

It's simple. There are 2 types of Voom bashers. 1. People that can't afford an HDTV. 2. People that have an HDTV and an IQ below 100. I have had Voom since Monday and I have never seen pq like this. It's also cheaper than cable or any other satellite company. Plain and simple.
