I was alwas frustrated that with DISH using optical out... NOHTING was 5.1 dolby digital.. only 2 channel PCM 48. Only a couple HBO and SHOWTIME channels were 5.1... that's IT! Is Direct TV any better?

I have a DISH 522 DVR.... it was great for many months and just the last month or so.. I have SO many glitches (the old picture pixel problems).. and sound dropouts.. some of which are so bad the sound doesn't even return unless I pause and then hit play again.. and sometimes it even STOPS...

Even notice that when you hit the >> key to go fast forward and 4x speed still runs at 1x? Then you click it again.. and it's 15x for real. That really stinks. It's either 1x or 15x (way to fast) to fast forward. Other than that.. I am SO happy with my 522.. Never a problem in 2 months...
