    WMYD (RF31) Detroit brings ATSC 3.0 to the metro Detroit area.

    WMYD (RF31, virtual 20) switched over to ATSC 3.0 around 10AM today. Rescan may be required if your TV shows no signal for virtual channels 20.1, 20.2 and 20.3. Those ATSC 1.0 channels have been moved to WXYZ, WDIV and WJBK respectively to accommodate the use of WMYD as an ATSC 3.0...

    WNWO (NBC) virtual 24 - Toledo, OH granted FCC license for new 275 kW DTV transmitter.

    The FCC license has been granted for their new DTV transmitter. 275kW from nearly 1400 ft. Should be a good strong signal for much of NW Ohio, SE Michigan and into Windsor, Ontario area. Keep an eye on RF 23, folks in that area.

    Manual channel entry on an Amiko Mini HD265.

    Just got one and I am looking through the manual. Not seeing it in there but I have been told that channels that do not appear on auto scans can be manually entered through its interface. Wondering if anyone knows if possible and how it is done.

    Dish request: Please put all HD flex pack channels on Echostar 16.

    It would be nice to have them all on one satellite for the core flex pack. Move the HD shopping channels to Nimiq 5, please. You could even maybe market a cheap single LNBF dish for the “Flex HD” package.

    I am curious about the common pairings of Dish's satellites. For example, my dishes aim at Echo16/Nimiq5. What are other pairings along the geostationary arc that are commonly used?

    Dish Wally as a DVR.hhat

    I read somewhere that a Wally can act as a DVR when an external drive is connected via USB. Does Dish charge extra if someone uses a Wally as a DVR? Note: I do understand that the Wally would not be able to view other channels as it records, like a Hopper.

    76cm dish aimed at Echostar16, a 1m dish at Nimiq5.

    Any thoughts on how these dishes will do signal wise? I am throwing the 1 metre at Nimiq, as it appears to a CONUS beam and not spot beams like Echo16. I'm in Southeast Michigan.

    Loss of Dish signal and OTA viewing.

    During a satellite loss of signal, is there any setting on a Hopper to suppress the loss of signal onscreen alert so one can view the OTA channels? I had it happen last night, so I disconnected my OTA so I could view the channels with out the signal loss alert in the way.

    Basic 2 dish setup for 61.5 and 72.7...what would I need?

    Quick question on SES3...

    I am going to start tinkering around with FTA Ku band. Is NHK World still on SES3? Lyngsat doesn’t show it, but ftalist says it’s there. Anyone know for sure?
