    MRV - Do it yourself?

You mean the same installers that saw a berber carpet and were about to drill a 1" hole through it? The same installers that get to your house and want an additional $65 every time they come? I don't trust those guys at all.

    MRV - Do it yourself?

Why won't DirecTV allow me to install this myself? According to the Customer Retention rep, all that happens is the multiswitch is replaced, my receivers are upgraded, and 1 line goes into my DVRs instead of 2. I don't trust their installers, as we've NEVER had a good experience and would...

    Wall Mount HD Receiver

Promising, except installation instructions say it requires a stud.

    Wall Mount HD Receiver

I did that more than once. Everyone: I don't want to make this a debate about RF. I'm NOT INTERESTED in RF. If you have any suggestions to solve the actual issue, please, let's hear them.

    Wall Mount HD Receiver

I have both. .. HR22's and H20s. All stink. Happened in our old home too. I don't care less about having to be line of sight... just want a good mount that I can put under the TV centered and not to 1 side because it needs a stud.

    Wall Mount HD Receiver

RF works, but it works so poorly.. you key in numbers, it ignores them, etc etc. It does this on ALL of our boxes that can handle RF so we do not use it anymore I really would rather find a solution that does not involve RF.

    Wall Mount HD Receiver

I mounted our 32" TV in our bedroom, and my wife would like me to mount the receiver directly under the TV (getting it out of site is not an option, as she can't stand how slow the RF remotes are on the HD receivers OR the HD DVRs). Does anyone know of a mount that can be used that does NOT...

HR22 sounds like it's ALWAYS running

We have 2 HR22's. One is quiet as quiet can be.... even when on. The other, on or off, always sounds like it is running.. it has a low hum to it all the time. It happens to be right by my desk so I can hear it but is there a reason to this? I took the ethernet cable out thinking that may be...

    b-band converters (I'm an idiot)

Are we sure this is real? It's not on the DirecTV domain.

    b-band converters (I'm an idiot)

Im painting my master bedroom and office. I box up everything (TVs and receivers) in some boxes I had, and paint away. Yesterday, I'm moving stuff back into the room. I set them where they are going to go, and start moving the rest of the stuff. In the meantime, my wife, thinking she's being...

    HR22 Power Cord....

7.99 works for me, and yes, the back of the hr22 has 2 prongs. Definitely faster/easier than D.

    HR22 Power Cord....

OK, bad memory of the cord then.. It probably is 2 prong on each end. I'd still like to know where to pick one up :)

    HR22 Power Cord....

We were redoing the family room today, and I misplaced the power cord of my HR 22. I have a bundle of the 3 prong power cords (3 prong on both ends) that my H21s use, but I do not have another 2 prong into the receiver, 3 prong into the wall obviously, power cords. Anyone know where I can...

    Slimline dish to bring tailgating

Currently, we bring our 3LNB dish mounted to a wood stand I built to football games for tailgating along with 1 HD receiver and a 19" LCD tv. We're able to receive HD off channels 80/82/86/88 for the networks, and a few other HD channels using that. We'd like to get a slimline dish for...

    hr20-100 ISSUE...

Signals are all 95+. All channels work perfectly on my h20s. Turns out it seems to only happen with MPEG4 channels. I couldn't get channel 7, ABC to work. 86 ABC MPEG 2 was fine. OK, so I switched to 7, and it stayed on grey background for 2 minutes. I went to the menu, setup...

    hr20-100 ISSUE...

ok, the problem is if we want to watch something that is taping, and we're taping 2 shows, it just sits there on the grey background screen. In other words, right now, my wife is watch ABC HD and taping TLC HD. We had to stop taping ABC HD to watch it. Never happened before we went away...

    hr20-100 ISSUE...

I had this morning because it wouldn't turn on (even though it was recording). That got it on. Weird thing is, now it's working. It hasn't all day... and I swear, I didn't restart since 6:30am this morning when I got up.... Takes 15-20 seconds to change the channels but they do change.

    hr20-100 ISSUE...

Just got home from a 3 week vacation.... I can switch channels to my non-hd channels, but if I switch to HD channels it just sits on a grey screen. Now if I go into the setup, sat setup, and test signals, then go bck, the pic comes on.. However, it says on the 99 and 103, my signals are...

Wall mounting LCD.. What to do with the H20?

Room space. I have a 2 yr old. That space where the rear projection sits right now, and a stand would sit (when I get an LCD down there) if I put it on a stand can be much better used for her toys :) And a stand probably costs as much as a tilt mount... if not more. Now those moveable...

Wall mounting LCD.. What to do with the H20?

Thanks guys. I like the Shelf idea. 3 feet under the tv.. wouldn't that almost be on the ground? I intend on hanging the tv's center at eye level when sitting.... that seems to be the recommendation I read most places. Definitely NOT putting it on the fireplace.. don't worry about that...

Wall mounting LCD.. What to do with the H20?

One of my projects for the week off is to mount my 32" LCD HDTV.. but what do I do with the H20? Where do I put it? It's a 2nd floor mount, so putting it in the basement is not an option, and I really do not want to put it in the attic as it gets hot... Also, the RF does not work on the H20...

NY MPEG4 locals - any issues for anyone?

ABC, 7, has tons of problems. I'd say the picture breaks up 4-5 times an hour... It doesn't happen on any other channel.
