Use the HDMI by itself. Disconnect the Componet. See if this does not solve your problem.

I have a 2 year old Samsung LCD TV and a 2008 Model Pioneer plasma. I have my HDMI going directly to the TV. The signal for the Beast has always been 1080p/24 on both sets. I have answered this on another thread on this Forum.

I had my TV calibrated today and disconnected the Hard Drive. When I hooked it up again via USB, I got a compatibility message, then the receiver rebooted and everything was back to normal.
