I got a call form Comcast last night on a promotion and they are coming to install the new Panasonic DVR on Wednesday. It is supposed to have USB working, play MPEG-2, etc.. Anyone have any experice with these yet? I'm afriad to get too excited.
I got a message form Comcast that the HBO analog feed was being removed and that you needed to call to get a digital box in order to receive HBO. I hope that this is a sign that they are on the move to al digital!! Anyone know? I'm in northern NJ.
Higher Bradband Speeds Next week?
I got a call yesterday from an automated calling attendant informing me that Comcast will be upgrading their data services to higher broadband speeds next weeek (I'm in Northern New Jersey). They didn't provide any other info. Does anyone know anything about this?
I just got my 6412 swapped for 3rd generation with HDMI. The comcast tech told me that he had received a text message this morning that they had finished setup for all digital and that he thought our area should be all digital soon!

When I change channels, I sometimes get a dead zones, meaning, several dead pixels on picture. It looks like a white paint drip. I have a Mitsubishi rear proj WS55909 and it does not happen with my own internal HDTV tuner. The only way to make it go away is to shut off box and turn it back...
