I had cydia apps on my old 3g and used aptbackup. I got a 3G S and jailbroke and ran aptbackup and all but one of my jailbroke apps came back.

Just do not upgrade until the developers release an upgraded jailbreak. You just have to be patient.

For what it is worth, I did not sign up for the widgets program. I downloaded the CE Friday night and hit the right arrow for fun and a bar showed up and said widgets coming soon. It had 4 or 5 icons on it. I did not lose video though, the bar was semi transparent over the playing channel.

Audio problems on play back seem gone so far. Channels change faster, but still "herky-jerky" Overall an improvement.
