No, I ended up paying last year (for the first time in a couple of years)

The authorization channel shows I'm "good to go" but no email - last I checked my account, it shows I'm being charged. I guess a call is in order.

When XM had their big realignment over the summer, they moved the Clear Channel-owned channels around, so XM 165 moved to XM 168 (which is where Coast is). Coast airs the last couple of hours of the prior night at 10p ET, it runs live 1a to 5a ET, and immediately rebroadcasts from 5a to 9a ET.

Same problem here, same solution... A quick reauthorization (sign in and go to https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mydirectv/mysystem/mySystemResendAuthorization.jsp ) and we're back up and running...

The DirecTV online TV listings includes two local stations that we do not see on our systems here (Metro Atlanta) -- WBRC & WVTM (Fox & NBC Birmingham respectively). Is that something that I should be looking for on the air soon?

I got the distinct impression that they made the decision to have the test at the last minute. When I initially heard about it, it was only going to be a 30 min. test on one channel, then two, then the three hour test it ultimately became -- and all of this within the last hour or so before it...

I have them in SD, not HD -- no RSNs in HD in Atlanta -- yet.

Try it again -- considering NewsCorp owns multiple satellite platforms around the world (Foxtel, Sky, et.al.), I would dare say that reports of Murdoch "not liking" satellite would be erroneous. I know he did have issues with the internal mechanics of DirecTV, but he definitely is not someone...

"Torchwood" is a lot of fun, albeit in a different vein than "Who." Hopefully, this spells a shot at more offshore content, especially considering that The Beeb, Sky and the other networks in the UK do a LOT of HD content. I'd love to see Life on Mars and Spooks. Add to that some decent content...
