try turning the tv on first (and then turn on reviever and then dvr) and see if that keeps the setting.

if your in L.A. your local channels are still MPEG-2 over the sat, so u will be able to record them. You might have a long wait for the new DVR. The HR10-250 does not have the ability to recieve mpeg-4, so additional local channels D* might add, or if they decide future National HD...

When the fios installers switch your standard copper line to fiber, how is this different than just ordering Voicewing, or another VOIP with fios. To me it seems like the same thing, but Voicewing is cheaper and has more features.
