MyDogHasFleas, I've got an el cheapo right now... it works fine at night, but during the day, 3 of the 4 channels shown above are choppy and experience what I can only describe as lag.

That stinks. The Dish site doesn't make that very clear and neither did the CSR. To clarify: if I sign up with NESN, the Sox will be blacked out? Does anyone know if Directv has NESN as a regional network?

So I sign up for Dish Network... 50% of the reason I did so was to get NESN, the other 50% was for the HD packages. Well... I get the service today and do not see NESN in my programming. What gives? Is NESN only broadcast in the New England area?

OK... my new meter has the signal strength on 129 at 26. How is that? It is a perfectly clear day... I tried to talk the installer into tinkering with it a little, but he said to wait and see how it does.

The second installer is here to do my install. ...very clear day today. He said that the best signal I should expect to receive on the 129 bird is 70... with that being the best signal I can expect on a very clear day... is there anyway to know what I should expect on a bad/overcast day...
