So If my main phone connection is across the room, and I have an installed phone line for my DVR on the other side of the room, then by having VOIP on this main line, I would also have to hook up my DVR to this main line? So NO running the DVR through the installed phone line I got 2 years ago...

Don't be so sure you can return as a new customer in 12 months. But I agree, look at all your options.

I also have the 522 remotes, and they wouldn't work with my TV or my HTS. The remote SUCKS! You'd think the E* would release upgradeable universal remotes, or something with a lot more codes. I'm using a on-for-all that gives me all the same commands, except the 10-second rewind feature.
