I have a Fortec Star system. I was wondering if a rescan needs to be done each time a new channel is put up on the satellite? or does it automatically sense it and add it to the list of channels?

I got a problem as well. I have to LNB's hooked up to one dish - I have a 22khz switch on the line and can't get the recvr to understand that I have a 22khz switch. I have one on and the other off - and still keep losing signal and it still doesnt understand the switch is there. is it a bad...

i've got 2 lnbs hooked up - port 1 - dish 1 - port 2 -dish 2. So do i take port 2 and hook it to the DiSEqC switchs port 1 and then run dish 3 to another open port? then what do I set the recvr to?

My ? is - can I put 2 single LNB's on a 22khz switch and then add a 3rd LNB with a DiSEqC switch? or will that confuse the recvr?

whatevers open - not looking 2 hack anything - Just confused on how to hook up more than 110,119 etc. I also wanted to try hooking 123, 85, 87,99 - just wanted to also know how many switches to use and what types. can I get away with 22khz tone switch.

NO hack talk - just wanted to know if there is a diagram for setting up more than one dish to a unit.

Is there anywhere here on this site a diagram for wiring more than 2 dishes together? I'm looking to wiring 119,110,101 & 91 and feed it into a fortec star unit.

Why is it that sometimes on FTA - you can get the major networks ABC, NBC etc and fall under the SHIVA law? doesn't make sense why you need a waiver for some and not the ones you find on FTA. am I wrong or just blonde? :shocked

Irritate the apt Manager! I love it -- that's why I have so many dishes on my roof it's to irritate my "think I own everything on the block" Neighbor. If I could plant a big 30 foot dish in my front yard I would.

That's correct - I was standing under them. I'm in New Mexico so I have an elevation settings at about 47-48 for Dish and Directv - and about 30 for 148w. Don't know the others. Plus not married so I don't have to hear no one complain - Sweet!

So if I go east to the 101 97 95 82 etc - those might have to be skewed? is it the same way if i goes west to like 103 102.5 etc

So The tracking isn't like the DBS? after finding all the satellite. I can't just go out and move it and lock it down? Didn't think those systems needed skew settings.

A motor will be later down the road. I just hope I can get one to fit a winegard 76cm dish. w/o having to get a whole new dish

once you establish where the satellite are. and mark them on the mast. can you just go out and move the dish and hit the sat with no problem?
