Unless when you signed up there was an agreement that you would stay with them for 3 to 6 months there shouldnt be a cancellation fee.

It is speculated that after March 31st when The Who Channel ends that channel will become a punk channel.

I have a feeling that Discovery Radio wasn't dropped because of a decision by Sirius but rather a decision by Discovery Radio. If it was a decision by Sirius you would think they would have announced it in when they announced the other channel changes and dropped channels that happened on Feb. 14.

Placing the antenna outside would be your best bet. It sounds like you are getting your signal strictly from the satellites which would explain the bad signal in your house.

I think you are thinking of the TimeTrax thing, someone correct me if I'm wrong. But from what I know, because of the encoding that both Sirius and XM use, there is no way to transfer their recordings to an ipod.

If you are looking for something that can announce channel names I would also recommend the Stiletto. It is also good if you would like a truely portable Sirius radio. The S50 only can play recorded content when portable.

In all the times that I have dealt with Sirius' customer service they have been cordial and promptly adressed and fixed my problem. And, they thankfully aren't outsourced.

My vote goes to Sirius because of all their Canadian music and talk channels they offer.

Mine got the update today, too. I like the new Canadian channels.

This is happening to quite alot of people on other boards. Check up in the 180's..You most likely will see that you now have the canadian channels. It wasn't an official release and only some people have gotten it so far. I, unfortunately, have not gotten it yet.

I really can't tell much of a difference but I do remember reading somewhere that Sirius' music is a little less compressed than XM's even though they are compressed ALOT. So because of that, Sirius got my vote.

A real way to find out which service you womuld like is for you to decide yourself after listening to both. That's why I always encourage people to use both XM's ans Sirius' free three day online trial. That's the best way to figure out which service you like IMO.

Because XM doesn't play good music IMO, they put commercials on some of my favorite channels, and they dont have Howard Stern.

I'm pretty sure that all of the sportster 4's get all the channels. It was mentioned before on another website.

XM started to broadcast commercials on a couple of it's channels because they were legally forced to by Clear Channel. On all the channels that have the commercials XM made new channels of the same type of music without commercials.

They changed some channel names around too. BBC World Changed to "Talk" and BBC Mundo changed to "Hispanic Talk". I hope this isn't a sign that these channels will be leaving soon.

The Sportster have been known to have problems with their backlights. I believe the newer version of it doesn't have that problem anymore.
