    How about that Wii Fit?

Hahaha... it probably is too much for Nintendo to handle. That's probably why they didn't put any diet-type programs in there. But most BG monitors allow a USB connector. I don't think they would be opening themselves up to anything terrible just by making some kind of connector to the Wii...

    How about that Wii Fit?

I agree! I'd like the one for type 2 diabetes management (because I am type 2). I think 'diabetic darts' would be fun. You need to match the units with the carbohydrate intake. Maybe they could come up with a special controller that will hook up to your BGM and keep track of your blood sugar...

    How about that Wii Fit?

The problem is that Body Mass Index (BMI) is the calculation that Wii Fit uses to determine your level of fitness. If you are doing weight training in combination with endurance training, then your body composition will render any BMI calculation invalid. Muscle weighs more than fat. Wii Fit...

    Assasins Creed now out!

IGN reports that there are worse frame rates on the PS3 version. I was considering getting a PS3 soon, and since I already have a 360 wanted to figure out which version of AC I would pick up. Based on IGN's review, I would get the 360 version.

Just how ignorant is the "average" console buyer.....Very!

My Dish Network installers hooked me up via component, but then did not make the appropriate changes in the menu system to view content in 720p or 1080i. You think they would know the difference! Most people do not understand what HD is, how you get it, or if they even have it. Others think SD...

Rumor: $399 PS3 On The Way

I still think the PS3 spec is way overdone. If the paging file size isn't all that big and I'm not planning on doing online DL's, I think a 2-4GB flash card should handle the trick for all the necessary saves and temporary storage. Wouldn't that reduce production costs(or at least shave some...

Rumor: $399 PS3 On The Way

I don't see why they need such a big HD in the first place. Are the page-file sizes large? I wouldn't be interested in doing big downloads to the PS3. If they could even make a version that uses a couple of gigs of flash memory, i'd be happy. The large HD is such a wasted spec, at least for me.

Rumor: $399 PS3 On The Way

I don't think it's a terrible idea. Including the PS2 chipset is a waste of money. The software emulation should work just fine (but I'm curious to know if they are actually saving money this way since they will have to get coders to write individual code for a massive library of games). Who...

Dejavu, Review of PS2, very similar to that of the PS3

 well, i think the japanese are probably more in-tune with my tastes. Maybe getting a Wii or a PS3 will help cure my blues in a couple of years when dev kicks up for the next gen in Japan.

Dejavu, Review of PS2, very similar to that of the PS3

Yeah, but dreamcast had better games. 360's games are a little boring and there isn't enough variety. It's a war sim or an FPS.... My 360 would be collecting dust if I didn't have to send it in for a repair.

Xbox 360 3 year warranty extension announced

I'm very happy about this. My 360 died a couple of weeks ago. Called up, on hold for 1 hour and they didn't want to touch the thing unless I forked over $105. I explained to them that I know it wasn't my fault b/c I did enough research on the net to know these things were breaking at a 33%...

    Another one bites the dust....

I received my replacement unit the first time because it just kept freezing during gameplay. Nothing else was wrong with it. It was under warranty so I had it sent out for free, repaired and sent back in a week. This was offered free of charge. The call center rep told me he would note on...

    Another one bites the dust....

My 360 just died. Static checkerboard overlay on the graphics, occasional bootup with signature "ring-of-death." Sad part is, I haven't even been playing it that much.

    I'm caught between a rock (PS3) and a hard place (XBOX360)...

I would save up my money until a killer app forces you to make a decision. I bought a 360, and my wife and I love playing DOA4. I like playing Dead Rising a lot too. It largely depends on whether or not you are a typical American gamer though. If you like FPS, war sims, and racers, then 360...

Microsoft prepping component to HDMI adapter?

Yeah, and I think that's the point though.. It wouldn't be overly expensive for someone who doesn't mind paying upward of $150+, but at that point you're paying for half the price of the core system. You'd be better off to trade your system in and lose some value, and pay the remainder for the...

Microsoft prepping component to HDMI adapter?

There's a lot of processor power that needs to be used in order to convert an analog signal into a digital one. Think of the bandwidth of a high-definition signal (1920x1080)requires as compared with an SD (720x480) picture. The two aren't comparable. Just look at the tech requirements for...

Microsoft prepping component to HDMI adapter?

It seems unlikely that this would even be possible... The conversion process would have to be handled by something ridiculously powerful and expensive... Perhaps the answer is not just in the converter, but in a firmware upgrade that would alter how the video signal is sent so that the...

    360 Elite validates Sony's hi-def focus – analyst

Most next-gen games are only 720p. While PS2 and Xbox were capable of higher resolutions, very few titles used those resolutions (even 480p wasn't often used). While I expect a great deal more games to come out in 1080p for the PS3, it seems unlikely that ALL of them will given that developers...

    Opinons on the 360??

Between 360 and PS3, I'm a little disappointed with both. PS3 doesn't seem to have any titles going for it at the moment, but they've never had a problem with content in the past. Right now, I'm not going to buy it until some more games come out that I would actually want to play. Motorstorm...

    Say Bye-bye to the Gamecube

their new system: a system that is pretty much still last gen with exception to it's external design, play mechanics, and wi-fi. Despite the lack of titles supporting it, the original Xbox still had the capability of displaying 720p. The new Wii titles so far, look about on par with Xbox1...

    Say Bye-bye to the Gamecube

Most of the games that come out for the Wii still look like GC titles, so I'm pretty annoyed that they've moved some great titles to the Wii solely for implementing the control scheme. The whole lineup looks like it's been wiped [IGN reported Vaporware on some key first and third party...

Motley Fool: Date XBox, Marry Wii, Kill Playstation

Sony's not about to ditch the PS2, a system I have to admit I still play often. I'm waiting on the PS3 to come down in price and get some titles that I actually want to play. After getting my 360 and not getting a whole lot of new, exciting, and unique games, I'm hesitant to fork over more...
