Welcome to the first SatelliteGuys Retailer Chat Recap of 2010! Yeah we missed last weeks mini retailer chat which was done at CES, but that was because we didnt see the show since we were at CES. 
As always the SatelliteGuys Retailer Chat Recap is a recap of the Dish Network Retailer chat, however the information posted here is items from the chat which are of interest to YOU the consumer. In our recaps we do not report on dealer sensitive items such as dealer costs or profits.
Basically you will find out here what you could find out from your local Dish Network retailer if he or she watched the chat.
Today's Chat SHOULD be an interesting one... I am hearing that on todays chat they will be announcing the new pricing structure to the retailers.
In addition I am hopefull that we get some HD news. As was rumored in the Pub Members forum there are now 10 national HD channels up in testing and I am HOPING that we hear something about these channels on todays chat.
A big THANK YOU to all the Pub Members who help us keep the lights on here at SatelliteGuys.US! Without their support we would not be able to keep the lights on for all.

They are wrapping up the chat now by talking about Team Summit...
No mention of new HD on the chat.
So as I promised here is the list of HD that is currently up in testing on Dish Network. While the channels are in testing, it does not mean that customers will EVER see these channels. I have no idea or even a clue when these channel will launch.

TMP59 is testing E! HD
TMP60 is testing Hallmark E
TMP61 is testing Sportman
TMP63 is testing Outdoor Channel HD
TMP64 is testing TruTV HD
TMP65 is testing EPIX HD (Looks like SD only is getting launched this week)
TMP10 is testing BBC America HD
TMP11 is testing QVC HD
TMP12 is testing SHORTS HD
TMP13 is testing Showtime West HD
TMP14 is testing Retro HD (An Encore Channel)
TMP15 is testing Indie HD (An Encore Channel)
And there you have it.
Next Retailer Chat February 17th, and Charlie Chat on March 8th.

Oh yea, forgot about that article - I do remember about Starz Black & Cinema, though.
Truthfully, I'll never understand why they didn't at least do S-Cinema HD - it seems like such an obvious choice to have done in HD when all the others launched. (as opposed to Starz K&F

Pissed off at the crappy healthcare costs
My health Insurance renewal for 2027 just came in. Going from $827 a month to $1,187 a month. Deductible going up a $1k to $9,350. Max out of pocket also going up $1k to $11,000. Doctor co-pay of $40. Urgent Care co-pay $50. ER 50% coinsurance after deductible. That's all in network. Out of network is double, should it be needed.
Have to think about this. I'm really tempted to just go without now. I only go to the doctor once or twice a year. I pay out of pocket for Tirzepitide and can do without the Rosuvastatin (crestor) now. Really tired of spending over $10k a year and getting nothing out of it.
After years with Blue Cross I switched last year to Ambetter as my Blue Cross premium was going from $1200 to $1800 for a Silver plan and the Bronze plan was still going to be $1300 at BCBS. Ambetter was $827 for the same coverage with a Bronze plan. Didn't think it would jump this much so soon.
I'm guessing a Silver plan is probably over $2,000 a month for 2027.

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.
Example:
Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow
Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio
Another example:
Ride the Lightning -- Metallica
Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne
Get it?
An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....
