I went to Best Buy Tuesday to look at some TV's. All I had was a Direct TV consultant bugging me the entire time trying to sell me a package.
I kept trying to tell them they do not have FoxSportsNet for the Reds games so I am not interested. They still kept hounding me and I just departed.

But they do have Fox Sports Cinci for the Reds games. Its on channel 661.

Yes, D* does have the Reds on channel 661. However, if you want to see them in HD, GOOD LUCK! They only broadcast a few of the games in HD and the rest are in SD. Channel 661 is SD and 661-1 is HD. 661-1 is a very "part-time" network as in broadcasting less than an hour a week (my estimate.) Saying that FSC is available in HD is a bit of a stretch.
D* has been saying they were going to make 661-1 a full-time channel for a few years, but they lie.
goreds
You get FSN Cincy with D* in CIncy
The 45202 ZIP Code is in the home team territory for the following pro teams. With HD Access select channels and teams available in HD are noted below:
With any DIRECTV base package (CHOICE or above, or OPTIMO MAS or above):
FSN Ohio (Ch. 660) - HD Available
# Cleveland Cavaliers (HD Available)
# Columbus Blue Jackets (HD Available)
FSN Cincinnati (Ch. 661) - HD Available
# Columbus Blue Jackets (HD Available)
# Reds (HD Available)

Yep, they lie. They said it would be full-time "real soon now" about 2 years ago. Not really worried about it here as when ATT finally quits dragging their behinds (finished work here about a month or 2 ago), am going to dump D* and go to U-verse anyhow. They already have FSC in HD like the local cable company does.
Problem solved.

Your funny ......
What work did AT&T finish around your house ?
You think because they finished up working around your house that they will be up and running any time soon ?
There's a WHOLE lot more that goes into it than the box by your home to get them up and running.
I think as far as the FSN, goes you might want to check with the FSN themselves to see what they're status is.
IS it a FULL TIME HD channel ?
They may be a Full time GAME station, but are they a Full time HD station entirely ?
You hardly ever see a station that shows HD all the time.
Not even ESPN HD is always showing HD, how can you expect a sub channel (FSN branch) to be Fully HD.
Mopst channels that are Full HD are not showing HD all the time.
Thats the problem, many stations say they are HD, but show SD shows as well.
We are all waiting for the day when EVERYTHING is HD ..... it's gonna be awhile.
BTW, what does ANY of this have to do with the OP's thread about Best Buy ?
They always charge full MSRP ? My TV was $700 off when I bought it. They must have had it marked up $700 over MSRP and took $700 off to make it look like a sale selling it for MSRP.
What's the deal with being mad at Best Buy for charging sales tax ?
My year was almost up and we got the new bill for a year of service for $ 360.00 insane sat radio is becoming like cable!!! i logged into my acct and hopped onto chat and told the rep that i wanted to cancel. she understood my concern and went quiet for a few minutes. i figured that she was canceling my service. she comes back and said that she seen that i have been a sub since 07 and then offers me the same package for a year for 120.00 with taxes and fee's!!! i grabbed it. after almost having a stroke

I did that as well, putting one in my Work truck with the antenna kit, trying to do it so WORK didn't see it.

Cutting Edge
Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!
So let the game continue!
The last song was added by Bobby who posted...
One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters
CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!
Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game
Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.
Example:
Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow
Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio
Another example:
Ride the Lightning -- Metallica
Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne
Get it?
An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

Brief 60 minute clip about next gem autonomous fighters - not remote controlled, but rather collaborating with controllers and aircraft in the theater.

Really excited for this season with Kentucky having a new coach and some really exciting recruits. Probably won't last long, but here's hoping this season is great.

Please post your remote make/model here and any details of your issue. We are looking to collect as many examples as possible. I may reach out to you for your receiver number, but please do not post it here.
If you've already reported this to me, please repost it here so I can track all instances in one thread.
Thanks!

I was having similar issues last night while watching and recording the NLCS game on 148. When I tried resuming the game at one point the screen went blank and I couldn't get my H3 to respond to any remote commands. Eventually the Hopper went to a HD channel but still no remote response. After a while the Hopper went into a re-boot cycle. This happened at least 3 times. I was using an IR universal remote only.
A little frustrating to have the game broken up like that but at least the Brewers won
Yea, I've only been a CIO for the last 30 years!
Trust me, when something important breaks, they get to own it!
