Maybe somebody can give me an answer as to what type of RG6 cable that Dish uses for their installs. I contacted Dish and all I get is RG6 cable, yeah I now that already.

The new house didn't have connections for the telephone or satellite in any of the rooms I wanted them in,so I put in boxes in those rooms and already wired the telephones up to them.I figure since I am already in the process of doing this stuff, why not go ahead and install the RG6 cables while I am at it.Underneath the house is cramped and would save the installer alot of time running the wires underneath the floor into the wall cavity and then to the outlet.I could then just run all three cables to a more accessible location for him to do his hookups.

I can get either Copper-Clad RG6 (3ghz sweep) or Solid Copper RG6 (3ghz sweep),but I can't get a straight answer as to which one to use? Does anybody know the answer to my dilemma? Thanks

That splitter you are talking about is not a splitter but a separator. The single coax can carry up to two signals and the separator breaks them out for the inputs to the 722. I would home-run your coaxes to the point where the ground block is and then let the installer take it from there. The installer is not going to crawl your house and do any fishing at all. At least not without added charges.

That's the plan.I'm going to run them to a location where he can get to them and let him take care of it from there. There will be three separate cables to that location, not sure if he will need them or not.But if he does, they will be there.

A single dual tuner receiver can be connected to a separator (NOT a splitter) for its two inputs in a DPP system. The sendond output of the (dual-band frequency) separator cannot be used to feed different receiver. You can split the TV2 output (RF and composite RWY) of the receiver all you want but there will only be 2 satellite channels to share among all those receivers including the TV1 (HDMI and component RGB) output. Each single or dual receiver requires a cable from the dish. No way around this.

Regarding shielding of the cable: the problem comes with a nearby FM or TV transmitter. The cheapest cable has a very open weave of the braid--actually RG6 has a foil shield so principal problem would be extraneous signal into the grounding shield.

That's the best solution. And that's coming from an installer. I'd be glad to have three lines just sitting there waiting for me to put to connectors on. I wouldn't waste the time putting connectors on the ends. If they are some off brand that Dish Network doesn't approve their installers to use, the technician will just cut them off and replace them with approved fittings. There are no extra charges for crawling under a house. From what it sounds like, though, you're going to have them by the door anyway.

Yeah, the crawlspace has a door to get underneath the house and I was going to run all three to the inside of the door.As for the connectors, they are Thomas and Betts Snap and Seal compression connectors.

A buddy of mine know an installer that has some Tributaries Dual Shield RG6. He has 150' that he would let go for $36.00 and 250' for $60.00
I'm not familiar with this brand?
the mack
that seems kinda high, but if it is indeed copper I can believe it.....clad works just fine and is a lot cheaper

I'm getting fabulous picture on Ch. 148 4k, but zero audio with H713. This is with a recorded show (Notre Dame game). Anyone else have this? Audio is fine on every other channel.

It's a known issue.
For a temporary fix, go into the menu, Audio, and turn Dolby Audio "OFF". You will have PCM stereo audio.

I was able to give the tech ops team some data logs so they could diagnose the problem, and they rolled me back to H708 temporarily. It fixed that issue.

They let me know that they understand what caused the issue, and it will be fixed within a few weeks in a new update.

I guess they will be busy when lots of people start asking for rollbacks to H708 now that you mention that downgrades of software does exist because it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner and the IR Remote problems in H710-H713.

it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!

So let the game continue!

The last song was added by Bobby who posted...

One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters

CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!

Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

Stargate Atlantis, meanwhile, has been renewed for a fourth season, with the network hoping to see that the spin-off series can stand alone, according to a source.

I have gotten back into watching SG-1 and I have recorded most of the episodes to binge watch. What episodes are about the Antarctic or was this a movie? Also where could I watch the SG-1 movies?

Well, there are a couple involving the Antarctic. "Solitudes", S1 E17 (one of my favorites), Then, "Lost City', S7 E21 and E22. Then, in the SGA pilot, "Rising", S1 E1 and E2, it starts out in the Antarctic for about the first 20 minutes or so.

Which one has O'Neil being Ancients? I am at the end of Season 8 now.

If I understand your question, O'Neill had the Ancient's knowledge in the "Lost City" two-part episode. That was when Anubis attacked Earth and there was a big battle over Antarctica.
