Now I don't claim to know much on cell phones. If they work. Good. If not then who knows.
Last week I lost signal. I'm in line of sight to a tower. Rebooted my phone.
I got in the car and drove up to it. No signal. Drove down the hill 5 miles away and got good signal. Called Verizon and basically got hung up on after their automated message.
Drove to another tower and it was fluctuating in and out.
So I get home and locals are on FB asking about if phones were acting up.
Got on Verizon chat on my pc. First denial. Reboot the phone and all of that stuff. I said listen. You need to know that your towers are glitching.
I got chat-transferred to "engineering". Finally got an answer. Verizon is the only provider out here. Good luck with Sprint, ATT.
Seems as if while they are doing the 5G conversion they have to reduce signal so as not to interfere with other cell providers.
You have to hunt to get an ATT signal at all. Sprint.....have a tank of gas.
Later on at home signal went full bars and my phone beeped letting me know there was a signal.
30 minutes of chat and then another 20 after getting somebody who fessed up and let me know what the deal was.
Only thing worse is talking to Dell support. My friend. And a flat Slurpee with stale nachos.
Anybody else experiencing stuff like this on their signal lately?

Then I call Verizon about more for the same or less and get hinted to a prepaid plan.
I'm a 15+ year customer. Supposedly with my 5G capable phone, my plan was supposed to increase in price.
It didn't. Actually went down a few bucks.
But when I got my S III I was supposed to get grandfathered into the unlimited data plan.
I got cheesed when my bill only showed 2 gigs. Back and forth. The resolution was finally "We don't offer grandfathered plans any more". The sole reason for upgrading to the new S III from a Windows phone.
Yet all around me, the Best Buy kids and others telling me they were grandfathered with unlimited.
No ATT here. Ok. If you get on top of a hill. No Sprint. They're a disaster anyway.
Actually tin cans 'n string is better than Sprint anyways. Tracfone works. T-back Mobile....fuhgeddaboutit.

It makes sense, however, I would want more types of restraints, so if one doesn't work, the other does ... the restraints coming over the shoulder I would have expected ... with a Seat belt as last resort.
Fwiw, I inquired with what they use on Coasters at Cedar Point, various Coasters, different restraints according to what the car and track requires ...

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this. Just had a customer come in inquiring about internet. He has HughesNet and had heard good things about mine. He asked if we provided email addresses and it kinda caught me off guard. I said he should be able to keep whatever email he had been using....my sister in law is still using a BellSouth email addy and they haven't been around here for many years. He said he had gotten a letter from HughesNet stating that they had until Nov 16th to save, move, forward, whatever, their Hughesnet emails because they would lose them after that date.
I have never heard of a company simply mass-deleting email accounts (the customer still has his HughesNet service). From what I understand, in the past, the company who was ditching their email service simply sold the customer base to a company like Google.
Anyone else getting this letter. He said he would show it to me tomorrow when I go out there and set up his internet.

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
