Just got an email notice from YoutubeTV. Price is increasing from $72.99 to $82.99 with first billing in January.
YouTube TV has always worked hard to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want, with features that make it easy to enjoy the best of live TV.
To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we're updating our monthly price from $72.99/month to $82.99/month starting January 13, 2025.
We don't make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our members. We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview*, and supporting YouTube TV's breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows.
The price of your YouTube TV Base Plan membership will change in your first billing cycle on or after January 13, 2025, and will be charged to your payment method on file going forward. To view your current plan, go to Settings > Membership for updated information. If you are currently on a trial or promotional price for the Base Plan, that promotion is still honored and unchanged.
We hope YouTube TV continues to be your service of choice, but we understand that some of our members may want to cancel their subscriptions. As always, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center.

More context, looks like when they wrote YTTV pulled ahead of DirecTV, they were not counting DirecTV Stream/by Internet/Uverse.
Still an amazing fall, at one time, DirecTV on it's own, no Uverse, no Internet services, had 22 Million subscribers, now the Satellite service is down to 6.7 Million subscribers.

With this from two quarters ago-
DIRECTV's video subscriber base is the third largest traditional multi-channel video programming distributor (MVPD) in the U.S. with about 9.7 million subscribers at the end of 3Q24.
Looks like YTTV has now leaped past DirecTV ( with all four of it's services combined) and is now the number 3 Live TV Provider.
Amazing for them, since they have been only providing service for 8 years, vs DirecTV, almost 31 years and had as many as 26 Million subscribers( when you add in Uverse).

If those numbers are correct for DirecTV and Dish, both of them, will be definitely unprofitable in 2 years.

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
Is anyone else also having the same problem? Thanks in advance.

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this. Just had a customer come in inquiring about internet. He has HughesNet and had heard good things about mine. He asked if we provided email addresses and it kinda caught me off guard. I said he should be able to keep whatever email he had been using....my sister in law is still using a BellSouth email addy and they haven't been around here for many years. He said he had gotten a letter from HughesNet stating that they had until Nov 16th to save, move, forward, whatever, their Hughesnet emails because they would lose them after that date.
I have never heard of a company simply mass-deleting email accounts (the customer still has his HughesNet service). From what I understand, in the past, the company who was ditching their email service simply sold the customer base to a company like Google.
Anyone else getting this letter. He said he would show it to me tomorrow when I go out there and set up his internet.

Can't help but wonder if a worker overlooked checking the harness. I rarely ride a roller coaster anymore but when I do I check the harness myself pretty aggressively.

It makes sense, however, I would want more types of restraints, so if one doesn't work, the other does ... the restraints coming over the shoulder I would have expected ... with a Seat belt as last resort.
Fwiw, I inquired with what they use on Coasters at Cedar Point, various Coasters, different restraints according to what the car and track requires ...

I just received 6 receiver 2 port mini Multiswitch and it work great, no external power need it, and you can connect 6 receiver instead of 4 on most Mini Multiswitches... If anyone is interested in where they can get one PM me....
