Is 1 5/8 (16 Ga) "line pipe" used for chainlink fence suitable for mounting a 36" dish? I'm thinking about a 6' length with 2' in the ground. I'll also be adding the bolts/allthread/rebar at the base to prevent twisting. I'm just wondering if the wall thickness of the pipe is sufficient. Thanks.

One of mine is on one and works fine. I have the other on a motor on a 2" pipe.

Yes those work fine-- I got two from my mother-in-law when she replaced her fence a few years ago-- they had the concrete already on them. I dug a hole put them in ground with the old concrete and added a bag of new concrete and they have been working great with my 75E Primestar dishes.
