Hi,

Been reading up quite a bit over here for some time now, and finally decided to make a post! I need some help from some of the gurus over here for my setup.

Current setup!
VIP622
625 DVR
510 DVR

Got the 1000.2 setup last week by the dish installer, however signals suck on 129 when using the 1000.2. I keep losing most of the channels on 129 half the time. I have my older dish 500 lying around, which I am thinking to dedicate for getting 129.

Right now the 1000.2 is is hooked up to a DP44+ switch and feeding all my 3 receivers. I will be adding a 4th receiver sometime later this year. The Dish 500 already has a Quad LNB with it, which I am planning to use for 129.

Here's my question! How would I go about wiring the Dish 500? Should I connect the 2nd dish to input on the Dish 1000.2 or hook up the Dish 500 directly to the DP44+ switch?

Appreciate all the help I can get! TIA

Hook up directly to the DPP44 switch. You will run two cables (119,110) from the 1000.2 to the switch and one (129) from the D500. Run check switch.

I'm not sure if it's gonna be easy to find 129 with a Quad but you can try. I would cover the 110 eye and use the 119 to find 129. A DP Twin can be use for a single location so I don't see a problem with using the DP Quad but again it might be difficult to tune in.
