I have a 1000.2 dish with a 722k.

How can I have 78 signal strength on sat 119 transponder 21 and a 10 signal strength on transponder 8? It's not a spot beam either, it's channel 116.

UPDATE:

It's all the even transponders on sat 119.

8 is so low it gets no picture but all the other even transponders are low.

What causes this? Connector? Ground Block? Cable? LNB?

All the above?

Have you tried a check switch? Could be a bad switch in the LNB. Also, have you checked your grounding and all of your connectors out at the dish?

When you bring up the System Info screen (menu-6-1-3 I think) does it complain about LNB drift?

Either a bad LNB or a short in the line.

I have a 722k and a 625 hooked up with different lines and they are both doing the same thing. Not saying both lines can't be bad, but less likely, IMO. I'm voting for the LNB.

Time to call Dish.....
