A 2 hopper and 3 joey system installed with 1000.4ea and dual node is not able to record and watch at the same time. Any ideas?

Your discription.of your issue so vague. Maybe you aren't pressing the record button.
What does your TV activity screen show?
How many recordings at once?
How many of the Joey's are connected to which Hopper.
Explain your layout and what you.are doing and maybe somebody will be able to help you.
Sorry so vague. 2 joeys connected to hopper with sling. when recording 2 events the joeys can't watch live tv. The second hopper is just linked with 1 joey.
Are each hopper/joeys individual systems that are just bridged together to be able to view recordings?
When the two recordings are going on, have you pressed the red button (of the four colors) to see TV activity? It will show tuner status, including available tuner(s). Select that one and you should be able to watch live.
If, on one of the hoppers, you are recording two things, that uses two tuners. You are also watching something on that Hopper, so you have three tuners, all three, in use. The Joey would have to change to the other Hopper to access tuners. Go to the whole home screen to do that (settings, network setup, whole home) and link to the other Hopper.
