I've tried calling DirecTV, but no one wants to sell me a HR20-700 until at least the end of the month because I live in Scottsdale, AZ.

BTW, is there a direct number for customer retention?

The rep told me that the new HD DVR was only available in the "LA area" and they didn't expect for it to be available in Arizona until the end of this month. She did say, however, that Best Buy already had deals for the HR20 and I should call them instead. I think I'll switch to E* instead.

I called retention, as well. My HR-20 is supposed to be installed next Friday. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

All I had to pay was $15.99 for shipping, because I own the HR10 w/ Tivo.

What's so great about the HR20? Why the hype?

HR20-700S at BestBuy!?!
