Hi All.

I'm wondering if one STB is able to serve two motorized dishes for FTA reception?

I am playing with a 7.5' BUD for C band, and am waiting for my new G-Box to arrive.

I'm currently using a CS7000 to run a Stab HH90 for Ku band.

I'm also awaiting the arrival of a KBOX K2HD, which will be the workhorse of the whole set-up. I'll
also need to hunt down an Ecoda switch IF it will work the way I'm hoping.

?? Will an " ECODA 22 KHZ SW22" switch differentiate between the Stab and the
Gbox, and pass the current accordingly? I am not familiar with these switches.

My thinking involves running cable from the STB, to the "ECODA 22 KHZ SW22" switch, then
from there, one cable to the Stab HH90, and the other to the G-Box & Bud set-up.

?? Will the two dishes work independently of each other? Or will they both pan the sky simultaneously?

?? Has anyone been successful with a similar set up? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Any advice will help. Thanks in advance.

not that Ive tried but the encode does pass diseqc commands so in theory it could. give it a shot the encoda switch's are cheap and are good quality, well worth the money.

Problem is, while the Ecoda passes the commands, it passes them on both ports at all times.
The GBox will ignore USALS commands, but the H-H Motor will respond to Diseqc 1.2.

Thanks for the responses.

It looks as though I'll have to wait for the Gbox to get here before I
can do any real testing. I'll need to get some more switches too.

Thanks for the link Sanjap, (I should've looked a little harder). What were your
results? Your last post there sounds like you gave up on the quest. I can't afford
2 HD receivers, and I'd like to have both formats go thru the new KBox. I also
can't afford to be frying any stuff while testing.

@ Big-O, I have an A-B switch too, but I wanted the switching to be automatic between
bands, and without a few diplexers, I'd need twice the cable to come in from
the dishes. I betcha a few diplexers will be good to have on hand anyways.
I might just go that route, for a while.

Crackt, you've done a lot of work here, but is there a cheaper substitue
for the 3 EMP-4x1 switches? Do you think the EMP-2x1 switch will suffice?
Are you still using this setup?

Thanks again for the input, I'll check back later.
