my 6 foot dishes are fixed (well one is ghetto moved).

Living in a townhouse I cant plant a dish in the yard..therefore the dish is fixed. The 2nd one I move by hand. Wheel it out of the garage and move it to various sats

Dedication, my friend. Dedication. Can you imagine DirecTV or DISH subscribers doing this every time they want to watch the game?

yep. I have one dish on G16 (99W) that has games on it and usually the other is on either 89, 91 or 95. KU otherwise :)

Is Lyngsat maps a good indication of needed dish size for my location? If I am reading it correctly it looks like a 1 meter dish can receiver quite a bit of C Band? Am I missing something?

no. Those maps for C-Band are usually wrong. Some of those maps say a 30" dish works fine for C-Band when in truth it wont even sniff anything

4 footer to "play" with
6 footer for most DVB stuff
7 1/2 to 8 footer to start working with DVB-S2 on a consistent basis
