My picks for the most vulnerable playoff teams:

Orlando- when they get cold from three-point range, watch out!

San Antonio- no Ginobili and a banged-up team. In honesty, this is an interesting team that could either go deep in the playoffs or go out in round 1
(A month ago, I had San Antonio in the West Finals- now, depending on their playoff opponent, they cold go out early.
IMO, the Spurs' best first-round scenarios would be Utah and Dallas, but teams like Portland or New Orleans could be tough for them. This is NOT Spur-bashing; I have watched this team closely, and they look vulnerable, but I never know what Spurs team will show up.)

Houston- when you have a 2,000 pound playoff monkey on your back, that could be troubling. Again, it depends on the matchup they get.

That's cool.

You're right, the above is NOT bashing- it's YOUR opinion, and you are certainly
entitled to it. :up

The Lakers defeated Utah last night, which means the Lakers-Jazz will be the 1-8 matchup in the Western Conference.

Seeds 2 through 7 will all be determined tonight.

Word is out that the Celtics will open up the NBA Playoffs Saturday afternoon at 12:30 against either the Bulls or Sixers at the Garden. The game will be televised on ESPN-HD. Game 2 of the Sixers/Bulls-Celtics series will be Monday night at 7:00pm on TNT-HD.

Scheduling was very tricky with the Garden. The Bruins couldn't open their series tonight because the Celtics host Washington. That meant the B's had to play games 1 and 2 Thurs/Sat. The Celtics had to get their first two playoff games in before Tuesday because Bruce Springsteen is invading the Garden next Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

What a HUGE week starting tomorrow here in Boston:

* The Bruins play games 1-2 against their archrival Canadiens, Thursday and Saturday night

* The Celtics start defense of their title with game 1 Saturday afternoon, and game 2 Monday night

* The Red Sox open up a four game series Friday night at Fenway against the Orioles (culminating in the annual Patriots Day morning game Monday). The Twins then invade Fenway for games next Tuesday and Wednesday night.

* The Boston Marathon takes place Monday morning (Patriots Day)

* All that and The Boss invades the Garden for shows on Tuesday and Wednesday nights

HD, Paul, Jimbo:

WEEI is also reporting that the Pistons-Cavs series will open up Saturday afternoon at 3:00 on ABC-HD.

Woah! Great time to be a Bostonian! :up

Matchups are now all set:

Eastern Conference

#1 Cleveland vs. #8 Detroit
#4 Atlanta vs. #5 Miami
#2 Boston vs. #7 Chicago
#3 Orlando vs. #6 Philadelphia

Western Conference

#1 LA Lakers vs. #8 Utah
4-5 matchup Portland vs. Houston (seeding TBD)
#2 Denver vs. #7 New Orleans
#3 San Antonio vs. #6 Dallas

I would expect these times to change a bit. This year they have way to many east and central time zone teams to play late games. I would expect a game added to the early end because it is doubful you get abc to bend on that noon time slot.
