We are 4 days away from the NBA Draft, so I figure it would be best to start a thread this close to the draft.

Personally, I say the Cavs should draft Derrick Williams.

HD and SkyHi- you have 96 hours to think about what you want the Cavs to do.

there have been some rumors about trades with this pick.

Like the Kyrie Irving pick at #1, don't care much for Tristen Thompson at #4. He seems like a project. Plus his free throw percentage is less than 50%. Let's hope we trade him before the draft's over. I was hoping for Jan Vesley or the center from Lithuania at that spot.

just came on to ask you about this but I see you answered my question:-)

and btw, it figures the lone Cleveland State Viking and budding star, Norris Cole ended up going to the Heat. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! I was gonna say something.... Riley does it again. Pulls a rabbit out of the hat!

2011 NBA Draft Results: Norris Cole Goes No. 28 to Miami Heat

A 6’1” point guard from Cleveland State (which raises some concerns due to a low level of competition), Norris Cole is a very good all-around point guard without too much upside.

Quickness is his calling card, but the reality is that there’s nothing Cole really can’t do. He’s accurate as a shooter, athletic, strong, capable on the defensive end and proven in many leadership areas, but he’s not a stand-out in any of those areas.

Cole averaged 21.7 points per game during his senior season while contributing 5.3 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game to the Vikings’ cause. But because of the weakness of his teammates, a lot depended on Cole and he has yet to prove that he can be a true point guard.

Everything flows through Wade and Lebron anyway. Just don't get picking a point guard in the first round.

Everything may flow through them, but you need a distributor when the play is to them on pick and rolls and when one takes a breather while the other is on the bench. I would say they need a center 1st, but with the gaps that will be left by no Bibby and no Eddie House, it was a good pic.

What do you think they should have drafted 1st?

Whatever. I don't get the pick, you do. Time will tell.

Time to move on.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm in agreement with Spike Lee and the rest of those in attendance last night...I don't get the Knicks pick either. I have no New York spin to make this guy sound like we're going to love him for some reason.

But again, time will tell.

I do not take glee in the Knicks not being good. I LIKE when teams I hate are good. Makes it fun that could develope into a rivalry. I really did not pay attention to this draft because there was no real star power in it. The fact that 4 Europeans out of the 1st ten pics seals it. I think as long as some of the raw but good players keep coming out early, we will never know how good they are until a few years into their NBA careers.
