I like going into the playoffs being ranked 2-4...a lot less pressure since everyone is gunning for #1. There is an amazing about of parity in the league right now...too much if you ask me. Regardless, this years SCP is going to be another nail-biter.

Also, I wasn't too happy when the Wings gave up a short-handed goal on their 5-minutes powerplay. In the olden days we may have scored two-goals during that major penalty...certainly not given one up.

The Jackets can't seem to draft well at all other than Nash and they will not have him after this year.
So who will score?
They have a shot at the first draft choice but with their track record it does not look good there either.

Blue Jackets have officially knocked Colorado our of the playoffs with a 5-2 win last night. Was also nice to see rookie Cam Atkinson get his first NHL hat trick last night.

Wings need a WIN and a Nashville loss to Colorado to take 4th spot and Home Ice advantage in the first round.

This looks to be a short stay in the Playoffs this year for them.

Thier D* is just bad at the moment and the PP can't get going to save thier life.

Both Detroit and Philadelphia would have been better off with the #6 seeds, because IMO, the #3's are the weakest teams in their respective conferences.

That said, this is the SC Playoffs and I would NEVER bet against the Red Wings.

Try 8th! They had every chance in the world on Thursday night and have crashed and burned since. Bitter disappointment for all Kings fans. Yes, they have made the playoffs...but will fall to mighty Vancouver unless the stars and planets realign.

Ever since Versus became NBC Sports Network, they have been promoting on their channel and on the NBC Sunday games that all playoff games would be seen live and in their entirety on the NBC group of networks and the NHL Newtork. As with the MLB first round of playoffs, there are too many games for just two channels to handle. Hence the "bleed" over to CNBC. (Chanell 355 for those of you on DTV). As things dwindle down it will be just NBC Sports and NBC covering the games with the Finals on NBC.
