:yes I installed a 30" oval dish from Dishnetwork and a Canadian project. Maybe a Star Choice dish? Anyway the dish looks like the typical 18" dish on steroids. I used the Voom LNB even though a D style Dish Network LNB fits the arm due to the focal point not being right for the LNB that fits the arm. Anyway, with a few mounting tweaks to the LNB using a signal meter I have achieved a signal strength of 97 with a SNR of 65 / 15.65. Now the real test came the other day when we had a horrendous thunderstorm. I was looking on analog TV at the weather radar and the storm was solid red over us and to the south of us. The Voom signal NEVER froze or pixalated and the signal level never fell below 80. No more rain fade here! :D

I'm going to try the same thing. I have an old dtv oval dish. I thought, why not. Couldnt hurt, should help.
