Their thoughts are it will keep the jackasses away. There is absolutely no incentive to be a jerk online or cheat to win when the other person can not communicate with you, they have no idea who they are playing and the only person who knows if you won or lost is you.

I'm not saying I agree with it but thats what I have heard.

Ya, that just implies they think a majority of their users who would play online are jackasses, or they don't have the time or inclination to implement any kind of policing system.

Granted I don't think everyone on Live is a jackass, but all it took was 1 game of Uno to see porn.
