Looks like they a playing the ole swap aro with tp 18 and 26.

Damn. 22 channels on tp 18. Overload!!

Edit: Mapdown.:)

Looks like there was an issue. Found this in my inbox a little while ago...

Due to an unexpected technical issue today we are swapping the programming between transponders 26 and 18 on the 129º satellite. All content on transponder 26 will move to transponder 18 and all content on transponder 18 will move to transponder 26. This swap will occur at 12 pm MT today.

· In L-BAND installations the receivers should track and the change should be transparent.

· QAM headends need to have a trasmodulator tuned to transponder 18 to continue receiving the contents swapping from transponder 26, otherwise they will need to change the input frequency on the existing transmodulator on transponder 26 to transponder 18 to continue receiving those channels.

Charlie building cheap satellites? Ciel2 is already failing.:(

The only problem with saying something is a "technical" issue without further explanation is that doing so leaves the field wide open for guesses. When I think of "technical" I don't tend to think of equipment failures, but rather issues relating to alignment and/or transport (transmission). My thought was perhaps there is an uplink issue or process relating to program transfers to new sats which Dish is trying to work out.

If there is an equipment (or mechanical) failure, presumably Dish will be notifying the appropriate authorities.

Regards,
Fitzie

And thats exactly what Dish Network would want you to think.;)
