I have two 508 DVRs. Yesterday (9/30/10) one of them lost all its timers. I re-entered them and it seems to be OK now. Has anyone had this happen? Is there a known cause?

I've used a 508 and a 510, and both had this issue at various times.
There have been quite a few reports of 501s, 508s, 510s, suffering from this. It's an internal glitch or bug or whatever you want to call it. nothing to do with the HDD, I've removed mine, cloned it, scanned it, formatted it, remarried a new one, and every so often like a blue moon it would loose timers or recorded events.
you can Google it and see how many people have complained about this problem.
I can't remember if the 522 suffers from the same bug.
