Hello All-

I'm a current Voom subscriber that will be making the switch to Dish pretty soon. When I order Dish I'll be getting an 811, 522 and a 510. The 811 will be hooked to my 65" mitsubishi HD RPTV. I want DVR capability on the mits so I'll be using either the 522 or the 510 also on this TV. Question is, which receiver would be better to use on this TV, the 522 or 510? Does one have a PQ advantage over the other? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'd use the 510. Its incredibly reliable. Much more so than the 522.

No PQ advantage... I wouldn't get the 522 unless you plan on recording alot at the same time. For your first DVR, the 510 is a prime choice.

Assuming you really need 3 tuners of DVR, the biggest consideration is who should be able to see what's recorded on the 522. Maybe sharing it between main TV and kids TV is appropriate - letting parents have a "private" DVR in their room.

Take my example and turn it any which way based upon your living situation.

Don't worry about 510 vs. 522 - it's really not that much different.
